Venice novice team “The Dolphins” won the city of Los Angeles Jr. Life Guard Championship, not the Venice High Swim Team, as headlined in the September Beachhead. 

Also in September, the geniuses on the Beachhead copy desk changed the correct spelling of Jed Pauker to an incorrect spelling, Jed Parker
